OK, so I have never done a trip report or pre-trip report in my life!!!! So here is my first attempt at one!!

Cast:
Me, WDW loving Mommy. @#@
DS, aka The Birthday Boy bD!^
DH: skipping this trip since June is not the time to travel when you work in road construction +-<

Reason: DS's 6th Birthday!!!!!!

Location: Disney's Contemporary Resort

Date: June 9-17th!!!

OK, since most of you already know me :\: this part is redundant. But for the newbs, here is how it happened!!! We went to the GF last December for our annual family trip. While there, we upgraded to AP's, knowing that we would go again this November. When I first booked airfare for last Decemeber's trip, I paid a crazy high fare on SW. Well fares came down and I racked up almost $600 in SW credit, that would expire that the end of June. So the ol' wheels started turning c**l The only thing we would need to pay for would be hotel and food.... and then WDW started the whole What Will You Celebrate? theme. And the rest is history!!

I promptly called my trusty TA (aka Kel) and had her book me a week at Pop. DH was adament that we only go for 5 days tops!!! Well, hello WDW buy 4 get 3 free deal!! Y@Y So now my week was in place. Then another miracle happened!!!! My White Sox lovin' DH realized that the Sox were playing the Cubs the night we were due to fly home, and that would be the only night game of the 3 day series. HMMM go to the airport and get us, or go to Wrigley and drink beer and watch the Sox win... so here came another day!! [!&!] 9 days it is!!

Well, a few weeks ago, I realized that maybe Pop wasn't right for us. So I started looking at other hotels- maybe CBR, maybe AKL and then the lightbulb went off!! DS has ALWAYS wanted to stay at the CR. In fact, we have booked that hotel twice before, and then changed to the GF since DH has no desire to stay at the CR. So why not try it now when he wasn't going??? So thanks to a fabulous deal and some faboulous work by me on DH c**l Kel switched us to the CR!!!

Now for the really fun part!!! The whole trip is a SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @**! I have done all of my planning (aka scheming :\: ) without DS knowing about it!!!! We are flying out the day after his last day of school. His birthday party is Sat June 6th and that is when we are telling him. Everyone else is in on the surprise (the family, his teacher, everyone!)

How are we telling him??? Glad you asked! ^!@!^ Have you been watching the What Will You Celebrate? commercials that Disney is running?? Well, DS thinks it is "cool" that these kids find an invitation and balloons and stuff pop out of it. So I started to think, how can I recreate that (minus the pyrotechnics, of course) So thanks to some of the FABULOUS ladies here, I ordered some latex Mickey Ear balloons on line. Since I always rent a HE tank for DS's bday party anyway, I figured I could fill them up the morning of his party, and put them in a big wrapped box. When he opens the box, the balloons float out (like the commercial) and there would be a note telling him!! @#@ Since this is to be his ONLY birthday present (or at least it was until DH decided to get a Wii Angry) ) I decided that I couldn't just give him balloons!!! So while on our family trip last December, I started to buy things for a gift basket, to also put in the balloon box.

Here is what I have so far:
Jedi Mickey plush (thanks Chan!!! She bought him for me in February) Turns out we are there for the last Star Wars Weekend! #@# Vader is DS's latest obsession!
Happy Birthday mouse ears, already personalized
Autograph Book
EPCOT passport
Park maps (thanks again Chan!!! Smile )

And now thanks to the fine folks at disneyshopping.com who are selling park merchandise on line, I am going to order the Lego Cinderella Castle (Lego's are his other obesssion)

I am not sure who will be more excited about the trip, him or me??? How will he react to DH not going- that is hard to say c$d2 But once he hears about all the fun things I have planned, I am sure he will be A-OK. *?*

OK, up next, a DxDDP plan comes to life!! -@:
Kristin.....I've never done a pre-trip or trip report either but it sounds like you've got everything covered just fine and are off to a great start <^^>. I can't wait to hear about DS's reaction when he opens up the box and the Mickey balloons pop out and he finds out he's going to Disney for his birthday Y@Y.

Deb Smile)
Kristin...your planning sounds incredible! I had tears in my eyes...it sound so awesome! bD!^ @*@*@!
Kristin!! I am feeling your excitement!!!!! You're selling ME on a trip!! <@@> <@@> <@@>

Can't wait for more!!! Y@Y

HOW did you "sell" DH on the CR......5 nights at Pop and now 9 at CR....Hm......you're good. <<0>>

Bring it!
Chan Smile
Kristin [!&!] a pre trippie!!! @#@

I cant wait to hear how excited your DS gets when he opens his gift box...love that idea with the balloons...you are so creative!!! What a great trip you have planned...and you are going to love the CR...really!
Kristin-Your trip sounds awesome, you are such a good planner. Can't wait to hear about the dining, you know we love to eat.
I am so glad you are doing this!! I know you guys are gonna have a great time!!
I really enjoyed reading your pre-trip report.
Oh what a wonderful surprise! I cant wait to hear about your sons reaction.
Thanks everyone for the kind words!! @^

Chan, what did I do to entice DH into the upgrade???? c**l Wouldn't you like to know!! ^!@!^
As long as we have been going to WDW, dining has been a HUGE part of the experience for us. Back in the 90's we did the silver and gold plan. When the DDP emerged in the mid 2K's, we went with that, but we were not big fans. The addition of the DxDDP in 2008 was a dream come true for us!!!

We don't like CS restaurants. +-< In fact prior to our 2005 trip (DS's first trip to the World!! [!&!] ) we had never even set foot in a WDW CS place *^* (for the rest of my rant abour dining, please see the hot topics board and the thread about DDP vs TiW).

There are certain restaurants that we eat in EVERY time we go to WDW. If we can't get an ADR there, the trip just wouldn't be the same!! Some of these include:

Crystal Palace Breakfast
Chef Mickey's Breakfast
Sci Fi
Cinderellas Royal Table

Then there are those that we will NOT go back to:
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Concourse Steakhouse (good riddance!)
'Ohana Dinner

Then there are the ones that we always try to get to and never seem to:
San Angel Inn
ESPN Club
Brown Derby

The good thing about WDW restaurants is that there is usually something on every menu that everyone in my family will eat. For example, I am allergic to shellfish, but DS and DH adore it!! Thank goodness most seafood restaurants tend to have a good steak on the menu! Plus, my little guy, is quite the adventuresome eater on vacation!! If there is steak on the menu, he wants it! Calamari?? BRING IT ON! He will try almost anything once and it never ceases to amaze me the things he actually likes! ^!@!^

Since this trip is a surprise, trying to only pick restaurants that he likes was a little bit of a challenge. Mercifully, we are taking a family trip in December back to our beloved Grand Floridian (only this time it's Mommy's Birthday!! The Big 3-5! :*( ) So any questions I have asked about restaurants I have always alluded to the December trip Angry)

For me, planning the dining portion of the trip is one of my very favorite things to do! $%$ I start by looking at park hours and the UG/TGM best and worst days. From that I figure out what parks we will be at on what days. Next, I figure out where we want to eat dinner on those days. Then comes breakfast and finally lunch. We are BIG fans of signature dinners, so there are usually a few days in the trip where lunch doesn't happen at all (not enough credits) Those tend to be days where we "brunch" (aka last breakfast seating available) along with an earlier dinner (5:30 pm or so)

Certain meals are tradition for us. For example, on our first full day, we ALWAYS go to Magic Kingdom (mercifully, the guide books usually pick that day as an MK green day [!&!] ). We ALWAYS get the 8:05 am ADR at Crystal Palace so we are finishing just as the park opens and we can dash to Fantasyland and get those rides done in the first hour that the park is open.

Also, we tend to eat at Chef Mickey's breakfast on our EPCOT day. Since we have to pass through the CR on the monorail to get to the TTC, we might as well stop and have a bite to eat!

If we are vacationing when a hard ticket even is occuring (MNSSHP, MVMCP, P&PP) then we like to eat at Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner so we are in the park when the party starts. Since there are no <@:') in my house (besides me :\: ) princesses are not much of a draw for my family. But DS is still 100% in love with Cinderella +)) DH does NOT like princess meals, so CRT for dinner is the perfect compromise. Cindy is in the lobby for pictures (so DS can flirt and profess his undying love for her :\: ) and there are no princesses upstairs. Plus, they serve a mean lamb chop up there, so it is a win-win for everyone!!!

On our DHS day, we ALWAYS have lunch at the Sci Fi. I know this place tends to get a bad rap from people, but we adore it!! We don't go expecting gourmet food. I just want a milkshake and a burger and to chill out and watch the old movies (and yell along with the waiters when the scene comes on where the stick the giant needle in the giant man's foot! lmao ) Through the years we have had some of the best service EVER here. On my birthday in 2006, when we stopped in just for a cocktail and kids meal for DS, my server brought me a glowtini and sang happy birthday as if it was a candle. In 2007, DS wanted a grilled cheese sadwich something awful, and even though it wasn't on the menu, they made one for him without bliniking an eye. Last year, our server INSISTED on taking our picture in the car together. We love it and it is a must do for us!!!

So where did I pick to eat this time around?????????????? Stay tuned.... p@P!

Chan, what did I do to entice DH into the upgrade???? c**l Wouldn't you like to know!! ^!@!^

I know....you brought it and worked it. <@@>

YOu are so funny. <<0>> There is something so ironic about the skinny girl obsessing over her dining. :\:

We had a SUPER server at Sci Fi. That's always a must do for us too Smile ......her name is Elizabeth. And she also worked at the GF. Just wondering if you had her. I ordered a salad - main course...and they are so lame sauce salads there....but she made it a REAL salad with lots of stuff in it. I LOVE a Marsha's Martian. Yummmooooo. That's a favorite shake/drinkie of mine. :\:

Are you trying Brown Derby this time? It's good. And we tried Mama Melrose....yum too. We like Crystal Palace but Chef Mickey's has been icky for us. My kids still will not try it again. We are slowly whittling away restaurants from bad experiences. NO Ohana for us anymore either +-< ....that was always a must do. Narcoossees makes me sick....Citricos was blah.....GF Cafe is OK but quite honestly I do not get the whole it's so good vibe. It's OK is about all IMO. NOTHING to write home aobut. Tony's = no more. Wow...we are picky. <@@>

So....where's more......?? Waiting for more!!!!

Chan Smile
YAY a pre trippie. Y@Y You are off to a great start. I wish I could see your DS open his present, he is going to be so excited.

Haha about the skinny girl and food!! I swear I am not this food obsessed outside of WDW!!

Surprisingly, I have NEVER had a female server at the Sci Fi c$d2 We have probably eaten there 10 times and it has always been a man.

More to follow later today....
I'm loving your pre-trip report so far!

And I totally agree about Sci-Fi -- we've had great burgers & just relaxed and watched the silly movie clips. I'm glad its rep isn't so good -- that way it's easier for me to get my ADRs ^!@!^ . We've also had the best waitress -- a real professional.

I'll be waiting to hear the rest of your choices! Smile
A Skinny Girl Obsesses About Food (Part 2)

Thanks Chan for the title of this chapter!! <<0>> So now that you know my method to picking, it was time to get busy!!! Now remember, when my 90 day ADR date came up, I was still booked at Pop and the thought of changing had NEVER crossed my mind. So this trip is low on character breakfasts (by our standards anyway :\: )

Here we go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 1
With our crack of dawn flight, we land in Orlando just before 10am!! [!&!] With any luck we will be checked into the CR by 11:30 am <^^> And then we will take a brief stroll to our favorite park- The Magic Kingdom!! $%$ For us, the trip hasn't started until we see the castle, so we like to eat lunch here on arrival day. I chose for this trip, The Plaza. It's perfect for lunch with the simple fare here, plus, I have got to get some ice cream and start this trip out with a bang! -@:

I tried desparately to get a dinner ADR at CRT our first night, but it just wasn't meant to be. So instead, I decided to go with a nice dinner, but an early dinner since we will be zonked from our 3am wakeup call +-< I chose one of DS's very favorite restaurants from last trip- California Grille. Since DS is in love with all things Contemporary Resort, I thought this would be a fun start to the trip (little did I know that I would later be booking our room here!!! :\: ) Since I had other ideas in mind for his birthday meals, this seemed like the PERFECT place to have Mickey send his birthday cake!! So Kel is helping me conspire to get the chocolate ganache Mickey Head Cake sent to the restaurant <^^> We are both chocoholics, so chocolate cake with chocolate ganache is a VERY GOOD THING *?* I plan on boxing the leftovers and bringing the cake back to the room to snack on for the next few days.

Day 2 His actual birthday! bD!^
In keeping with tradition, Kel booked us the 8:05am Crystal Palace ADR. I pre-ordered the centerpiece, goody bag and pirate cake (yes, cake for breakfast! <@> )

Lunch- Tony's Town Square. DS loves calamari more than any other food WDW serves. While I am not a fan of Tony's for dinner, I actually like it for lunch. They have decent panini sandwiches and a good cheese flatbread. I am not about big lunches, but I am about getting out of the sun and having a nice iced tea and relaxing!!

I wanted something FUN for the birthday dinner. I went round and round about where to eat (Chef Mickey's dinner, Coral Reef, Biergarten etc) and finally decided on DS's newfound favorite restaurant- T -Rex Cafe!!!!!!!!!! Yes, it is outside the DDP (the horror!! ^!@!^ ) but I like to get to DTD early in the trip and hit up World of Disney for shopping anyway. So T-Rex it is!! He will be so excited!! I sense a Chocolate Extinction is in our future!! (think of RFC's volcano). Then, of course, we have to stop at Goofy's Candy Company for some yummy create your own concoctions! {0*} (To go of course!)

Day 3
This is our DHS day. And for us, we like to start our DHS day at Hollywood & Vine's Play N Dine restaurant. We don't care a bit about the characters here (I mean, seriously, is JoJo and Goliath even on any more?????????????????????) But we really enjoy the food, DS likes to dance, and we have always had great service!!! And the really great benefit- if you get the 8am ADR (and pay the check as soon as you are seated) you are already well into the park when rope drop happens. This makes you among the very first to make it to TSM!!!! (Shhh!! Don't tell our secret! Angry) )

Lunch- no brainer decision- Sci Fi Cafe. We love it here. Again, its not gourmet food, so just stick to the basics. I love the chicken bruschetta sandwich!!! Oh, and the chocolate peanut butter cake is pretty darn good too!!! Plus, the servers here like to pad their tips, so they are usually really good about allowing the milk shakes as your beverage on the DDP :\:

Dinner- this was a tough one for me. We don't normally eat dinner at DHS (we normally hop to EPCOT or one of their resorts) But I am hoping my TSM strategy works out (ride at rope drop, get FP after riding, get another FP the exact minute that I am eligible to get a new one- which I am guessing will be around 11:30 am) Getting a FP at 11:30 probably will mean a 7pm return time, so eating in DHS was a must. I chose Mama Melrose since DS claims to like this place (not sure how he remembers eating here when he was 2, but he claims to) Plus they have calamari on the menu again, and I am all about pleasing him this trip! We didn't even look into the Fantasmic package for this. We don't care much for Fantasmic. I hate having to get there early and sit for an hour and then I really hate dealing with the crowds afterwards (we usually bail during the last 5 mintues to run to stroller parking and make a dash for the bus stop anyway). After dinner (and our ride on TSM with the FP), we will take the boat over to the Beach Club and attempt to tackle the Kitchen Sink ( @< pretend this is Jaws!! ^!@!^ )

Day 4 EPCOT
In all our trips to WDW, we have never made it to EPCOT for rope drop c$d2 This year, I am determined to try it, so no Chef Mickey's this time *%* Remember, at the time I made my ADR's, I was booked at Pop. The thought of catching a cab at 7am for early breakfast was not appealing. So we were supposed to eat in the food court. Once I swtiched to CR I tried to get my beloved Chef Mickey's, but as of this date, no luck. So I grabbed a 7:30 ADR at Kona Cafe (Macademia Nut pancakes here I come!! [!&!] ) but am still calling to try to get into Chef Mickey's or 'Ohana (DS likes Stitch)

DS mentioned on our last trip that he really wanted to eat in Italy again. He likes saying Ciao Bella to all the waitresses/hostesses there +)) (flirt!!!!!!!!!!) I am not wild about it for dinner, so I compromised with lunch. Between the panini of the day and a nice cool bellini cocktail, I will be A-OK! :\:

Dinner was an easy choice. DS loved eating at Coral Reef!!! We went in 2007 for our anniversary (complete with custom menu and diver sign) and had a tankside seat. The food was better than I thought, but the atmosphere is fabulous! Alas, no more custom menus or divers (it appears the manager has moved to a different restaurant), but he will be happy at the choice.... @< After this, we are breaking the cardinal sin of all tour guide books!! We are heading to MK for EMH night!!! We adore MK late at night and have the patience to wait for the crowds to thin so we can enjoy the short lines!
A Skinny Girl Obsesses About Food (Part 3)

Ready for more?????????????? p@P!

Day 5
After a late night at MK, and several days of getting up early, today is our day to chill ^^^^ Originally I was going to head over to the BC for breakfast and do some mini golf (followed by lunch at ESPN) but I decided that some R&R by the pool will probably be better. Here's hoping that the kids area of the pool is done by then! <^^>

Currently I have a late breafast ADR at GFC, but honestly I am not sure I will keep it. We might stop at the Contempo Cafe for a quick bite before going to the pool. Or maybe I will treat ourselves and order room service!! $%$ I will, very uncharacteristically, "go with the flow" that day! No cabana rented (I will not pay $100 for 4 hours). Just a lounge chair and a cocktail (!*!)

I booked a late lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. We don't care for it AT ALL for dinner (if I wanted Stouffers food I would stay home and take it out of the freezer Angry) ) but the lunch menu looks interesting. But this might go by the wayside too if room service if the clear winner for our breakfast (room service = 2 DDP credits per person) Again, go with the flow, mon!! ^H^P

Dinner is at Cinderella's Royal Table. I originally tried to get this ADR for our first night, but it didn't happen. Back when they made the switch from 180 days to 90 days, CRT and Chef Mickey's were excluded. I learned of that loophole a little too late. While I did call at 150 days or so, the latest time I could get was 5:15 on this date. I took it, but wasn't pleased. Well, my super duper TA was able to switch me to a much better time at 90 days!! @#@ The whole family really does enjoy this place! DS likes seeing Cindy downstairs and the whole mouse show upstairs (not to mention getting the sword!) And I really like it better than breakfast. Breakfast is so rushed, the food is so limited and hard to get refilled. Dinner is great. And did I mention the lamb chops??????????? =*)) That is one thing that I NEVER make at home.

Not sure if we will stay in the park after dinner or not. Rumor has it that CR does movies on the beach as well now.... go with the flow....

Day 6 Star Wars Weekend #@# @W#
This may very well be the highlight of DS's ENTIRE trip!!!! He is a Star Wars fanatic (and I am not ashamed to admit that I can probably recite all 3 of the original films ;@) )

No ADR today!!! Just a quick trip to the Contempo Cafe for breakfast and then off to the Studios to get in line!! We don't care about actor autographs, but I would like to see Darth, Jedi Mickey and some of the more popular characters before the parade.

Lunch is at 50's Prime Time Cafe. DS mentioned last year that he wants to try it some time (He likes to watch Leave it to Beaver on TV Land! I think he will be disappointed that the restaurant is "in color" and not "black and white" ^!@!^ ) I haven't eaten here since 2000 (and I remember being not too jazzed about my dinner) so lunch it is. If nothing looks good, I am content to eat some onion rings and s'mores Angry)

Dinner was a BIG dilemma. Not so much about where to eat (Duh, back to the Sci Fi! Seemed fitting based on the theme of the day) but what time to eat. The park closes at 8pm, but they final event of SWW is the Hyperspace Hoopla. In the past it has been at 7pm. However SWW starts earlier this year, and on a couple of nights, the park closes at 7pm. What time is this year's Hoopla????????????????? That is the greatest mystery and STILL hasn't leaked out. Kel got me a 7:45 and I am going to pray that I guessed right! <^^>

After dinner, we are off to MK for another EMH night!!! A lot of Dole Whip and Homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches eat we will.... <,>

Day 7 EPCOT Part Deux

EPCOT is really a 2 day park for us. The first day we focus on all the big rides etc. The second day is all about World Showcase! DS can do his mask and get his passport stamped, Mommy can have a cocktail or two $@$ It is very easy day.

I expect to be pooped (and starting to be very full at this point) so no breakfast ADR. We can grab a muffin from the Contempo if we need it.

Lunch changed a couple of times. It started out at San Angel Inn. As much as I like the atmosphere, I just don't care for the menu. I like gringo Mexican food (tacos, fajitas etc) and the kids menu looked terrible. So then it was Teppan Edo. We love this place and it is a must do for us!!!!!!!!!!!! But DH likes it the most, so I thought about scratching it and saving it for the family trip in December. And once DS saw the pics of Remy at Chefs de France, it was a DONE deal. I like Chefs! We had lunch here last year for the first time and were impressed. Our server was a SWEETHEART and the food was decent (love the French Menu! +)) ) So "Sayonara Japan" and "Bon Jour France!!!!!" (maybe we will even stop to see the French movie this time! :\: )

Dinner was a no brainer for me. Le Cellier in Canada. I know some here like Yachtsman better, but we were really underwhelmed by Yachtsman. And while I normally do not like restaurants without windows, I really dig it here. Plus the pretzel bread and cheese soup really rock my world! <<0>> And any place DS can get steak on a kids menu is also a good thing!

Will we stick around to see Illuminations tonight?????? Only time will tell...

Day 8 Animal Kingdom
I don't care much for the food here. We also tend to only spend 1/2 day to 3/4 day here.

Breakfast is at Tusker House. This place is WAY better than the previous safari breakfast at Restaurantosaurus. It is Boma with characters. I like to "brunch" here- get here at opening, ride EE and the safari, while grabbing an EE FP for later. NO SUCH LUCK!!!! Even though Kel tried on my 90th day (and with the +10 rule) the latest we could get was 9:40 am #<( I hav tried to switch, she has tried to switch. I never realized it was this popular c$d2

Right now, there is no lunch ADR. We can always run out to RFC if we want, but we have RFC here at home, so it is no big deal to us to eat it there. I am guessing we will just use some snack credits today. DS LOVES the frozen lemonade cups here! =*))

Dinner is right after the parade at Yak and Yeti. We ate here last year and it is OK. DS gets a kick out of using chop sticks (and the pot stickers were pretty good too)

MK is open to midnight tonight, so we might hop over there afterwards (that is if I was a good girl and got some packing done the night before).

Day 9 Our last day #<(
The good news is that our flight doesn't leave until 9pm. DME probably won't come until 6pm, so we have a whole day to visit our favorite park - Magic Kingdom

Breakfast is at Chef Mickey's!! When I first made this ADR, I thought we would be at Pop. I figured we could check out early, grab the bus to MK for rope drop, get a FP for BTMRR and then monorail to the CR for our 10am ADR. Now that we are staying at the CR, I am not wild about my time. I keep calling to change it, but no luck. +-< I doubt we will go to MK to get a FP before breakfast (but never say never :\: )

Lunch is back at Tony's Town Square, not so much for the food (since we already ate here) but for the view. I booked a 2:30pm table and am hoping to get a table outside so we can watch the afternoon parade. Wish me luck that it doesn't rain and this works out! <^^>

After lunch, it is time to get rid of what is left of the snack credits (not that I think there will be much!!!) If I haven't mentioned it to this point, DS is an Itsakadoozie fanatic, so I predict a lot of his credits going to that!! So we will check in at the Confectionary and get some nonperishables to bring back (rice krispie treats, boxes of cookies, lollipops etc) Plus I need my large bag of Mickey pretzels for the plane ride home!!!

I hope all of you have enjoyed reading my "obessive" food planning! Smile) And I hope the birthday boy is pleased with all the places I chose to eat!!!! <^^>

Up next: 9 days? What in the "world" will they do??? M!K@Y
Kristin..omg I sat here eating Oreos reading your plans. <<0>> <<0>> <<0>> I am wishing I had one of those home made icecream /cookie sandwiches right about now. <@@> <@@>

I just cannot believe you can eat all that food. <@@> I really can't. After the big H&V bfast you are going to Sci Fi?!?! and then dinner out too?!!? OMG and the two cakes. <@@> <@@> And Goofy's Candy Co! I walked in there in April and didn't get anything. <<0>> For some reason at WDW I lose my appetite. Angry) <<0>> Odd but true.... c$d2 I just can't see you guys eating all that food! <@@> I haven't been able to squeeze in a Dole Whip at all for 3 trips now!!! Or the cookie sandwich or the cinnamon buns at the bakery. +-< And not for not trying, either!!!! I LOVE THOSE THINGS!!! I just can't eat all that. +-<

Well...have fun trying! <<0>>

I tried LTT for lunch for the first time in Feb and had the most delicious salad there.....YUMMMMO....it was so good was all wanted to try and get another ADR there for that week!!! EVERYTHING we had was great.

Sounds good! And you even have some go with the flow in there. :\: Are you going to be able to stay at DHS all day? We usually only last a few hours there. It's not a biggie for us....AK either.

One of my best fun memories is of eating at Tony's at dinner and seeing the Main Street Electrical Parade go by!!! That was a while ago!!! We were staying at the CR that trip. Love the walking b/f to MK. *?*

Anyway......nice job. Can't wait to read more! Smile
Chan
Here's the thing about "all that food" ^!@!^

I am a one tripper to the buffet breakfasts (2 tops- and that is usually for more fruit). I eat a lot of fruit, a piece of french toast or a small Mickey waffle, maybe some bacon, and a tiny baked good (think mini muffin). We go for the characters not to eat.

Lunch- I stick with sandwiches and salads mostly. Desserts are just a couple of bites to taste. If any appy is even ordered at lunch, it is usually for DS (calamari etc).

Dinner- this is my real meal of the day. But so often the appy I order is actually for DS (no seafood on a kid menu :\: ) so I eat his tiny garden salad appy and then my entree. Dessert again is usually a bite or two (or three :\: ).

Snacks are usually mid morning (if we have a late lunch) or on those late nights in the park. And more often than not, 1 is shared between the 3 of us (2 of us this time).

So it is a lot of sitting down, but not really a lot of eating, KWIM??? DS, on the other hand, is a human garbage disposal!! And a whole whopping 43 pounds at 45 inches tall <@@>

Meal time, is our down time...
Betty-You have done and awesome job of planning. I'm getting hungry just reading your report. I can't wait to hear how it all works out. Do you take pictures of your food? I always love to get a picture so I can remember what I ate.
Kristin What great plans!! For some reason though I am starving... Angry).... When I was at the CR last year they had movies on the beach...also I have eaten in Contempo Cafe a few times and enjoyed everything!!! I hear the waffles with bananas and salted caramel is very yummy.. (it sure sounds good-not sure what salted caramel is though... ^!@!^ ).... -@:
